I LOVE this time of year!!!

Last night we had some delicious drinks and decorated the tree!

Ingredients:

4 oz of your favorite chocolate (4oz =about 1 cup)
2 teaspoons store-bought hot chocolate powder
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups ice cubes
lightly sweetened whipped cream
chocolate shavings (optional)

Directions:

1. Chop chocolate into small pieces and melt in microwave on low heat.
2. Once melted, add hot chocolate mix and sugar, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended.
3. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup milk, stirring until smooth.
4. Cool to room temperature.
5. In blender, place the remaining 1 cup milk, room-temperature chocolate mixture and ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri.

Today we went to a breakfast with Santa at Jeff's work... Emma is not such a fan of Santa:) I think this year will be the screaming picture or no picture!

Emma has taken a liking to sleeping-in (I just wish I could sleep until she got up. One of these night I am going to go to sleep when she does at 6:30 and sleep-in with her! I better do it soon!!!). So this morning at 8:15 I thought I was going to have to go wake her up but then I heard Scout singing so I knew she had woken up. We had to get a quick bath before going.

We decided to do the Santa party at the beginning... She was NOT a fan at the beginning or at the end. She wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with him... until the end!
At the end she decided he was ok to blow kisses to! That was the first time she didn't shake her head NONO NO at him and try to hide.

This might be as much of the pregnant belly as you see on here!!

Unwrapping her present from Santa.... Which she was not a fan of either! I started to think Christmas should be intersting. She doesn't like santa or presents! Once she realized the baby had a diaper... She LOVED it! I also learned when we got home to not leave Emma unattended with the baby when he is born!!! Hopefully when people see how she carries the baby around they will not think that is how I take care of her!!!!! I think Jeff got scared watching Emma change the baby's diaper thinking does that happen to her!!!!

Playing with Daddy and the baby!

Poking the baby in the eyes... another idea that we need to teach her NO!

Not so sure it is the best idea to be head butting her new baby!

Watching daddy shovel for the doggies!

Today we also decorated Emma's Christmas tree. Last year and elf brought Aidan one while he was on the polar express. We opted out of sitting on the train this year. Next year we will do it with Emma... not the baby! So her tree just appeared:) Next year we will be more creative about how it get in the house!
