Great Grandma Emma

On Thursday, April 14th we received the news that Emma's great grandma Emma passed away.  I feel very blessed that both of them were able to meet one another but it makes me sad that Emma will have no "real" memories of meeting her GG Emma.  She will be able to see in pictures the pure joy she brought to her face and will have to hear stories about what a wonderful Grandma she was from her daddy.
I wish that Emma and Liam got to know her better but having lived in SC and just moving up to NY in the winter and me being pregnant we had not gotten down there.  I know that she knew how much we cherished the times we did see her and we will be sure to share those memories with Emma and tell Liam how much she talked about him and loved him although they had not met in person.

When we got home from the services and all this weekend Emma wanted to go to bed and she insisted on taking a photo album that GG Emma had with picture of Emma and a blanket that was GG Emma's...

I know that Grandma Emma is smiling down on Emma as she watched her sleep last night!  She has not gone anywhere today without the photo album and the blanket had to be on her for both (yes she took two naps today!) naps.  I can only hope that GG Emma is watching over her and Liam and is smiling as she seems Emma with the blanket that she had made for her and the one that Jeff brought home with him.

Scenes from our Saturday AM

We started bright and early here this Saturday!  Liam decided he was ready to get up at 6:15.  Actually he was not ready to get up but he kept breaking free of his swaddle and waking himself up so finally I said lets just get up:)  So we came downstairs to hang out with the dogs and daddy!  How can you be upset about getting up early with this cutie!!  He could get up at 4 and I would still love to see this smiling face (ok.... maybe not 4 EVERY DAY:)!!!!)

Jeff and "The Girls" went out to do clean up duty before our busy AM starts....  keep looking to see what I mean with BUSY AM!

I think these two could sit and stare and Baby Liam ALL day!

Once the girls got here it was time to go outside.  They had a blast and I could not have asked for a better day!!!  Emma got to spend all morning playing with her cousins and the sun was shining and I actually got hot by the end of the playdate!

Liam still has his LONG fingers!

10 Weeks old!

Liam is 10 weeks old today! I can't believe how fast these past 10 weeks have gone! He is such a great baby and I truly feel blessed to be his mommy!
We went to the pediatrician yesterday for his 2 month check up and he is 12lbs 4 oz and 24 3/4 inches (52% and 91%)!!! I thought he weighed more because he LOVES to eat! I laughed because at 2 months Emma was 9lbs and 22 3/4 inches. He is 3lbs bigger... doesn't sound like a lot until you are carrying those extra 3lbs around and add it to the carseat!!!!

Liam is still wearing 0-3 month clothes and some of the 3-6 month clothes.
I think he is going to keep his blue eyes.  They are much more crystal blue color than Emma's ever were.  She had the dark gray eyes for the longest time.  Liam also seems to have sensitive eyes when we are outside.  His daddy and him will probably always have their eyes shut in photos!
